We are excited to share that Northern Waters Land Trust has been appointed to a prestigious position on the Minnesota Clean Water Council! This is a tremendous honor and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire community.
The Clean Water Council is a statewide organization comprising 17 voting members who represent a diverse range of interests related to water conservation. We are delighted to announce that Annie Knight, a valued member of our team, will be serving as a representative for nonprofit organizations focused on the improvement of Minnesota lakes or streams.
The Clean Water Council plays a crucial role in advising on the Clean Water Legacy Act, ensuring the protection and restoration of water quality in our lakes, rivers, streams, and groundwater sources. This appointment recognizes Annie’s exceptional abilities and commitment to safeguarding our natural resources. Her appointment reflects the successful track record and reputation of Northern Waters Land Trust in the conservation community. It is a testament to the collective efforts of our staff, volunteers, and board members’ commitment to partnerships, collaboration, and a local community-focused approach to water conservation.
Annie’s term on the Council will last approximately 3.5 years. We have no doubt she will excel in this role, contributing significantly to water conservation efforts. Together, we will continue our important work in preserving Minnesota’s precious waters.
